Fixed Fee Recruitment

Full recruitment.
One fixed fee.

Every stage of the hiring process, done properly. You know the cost before we start. And it doesn't move.

What you get

Everything the agency does.
Without the percentage.

Ten things we do every time. No add-ons, no upsells, no surprise line items on the invoice.
01
Branded advert, written for you

A copywriter drafts a focused, on-brand advert from a 20-minute brief. Posted under your name, not ours, so candidates engage with your business directly.

02
Posted to the major job boards

Your vacancy goes live across the major UK job boards, plus sector boards relevant to the role.

03
Active candidate sourcing

We don't just wait for applications. Consultants proactively search CV databases and talent communities to surface passive candidates who match the brief but aren't job-hunting.

04
Application screening

Every CV reviewed against the brief. Every applicant gets a fast, polite response under your name. Unsuitable candidates are handled and declined for you.

05
Curated shortlist

A curated shortlist of suitable candidates, with our notes against your essential criteria.

06
Teams video screen calls

A consultant runs a structured Teams video call with promising applicants to confirm fit, motivation, salary and notice before they reach you. We screen on video as standard. It confirms the candidate is who their application says they are, and keeps us ahead of applicants using AI tools to script or game text and phone screening.

07
Interview scheduling

We coordinate diaries with candidates and confirm slots, so you spend time interviewing, not chasing.

08
Offer and negotiation support

Guidance on benchmark salary, counter-offers and start dates. We help close the candidate cleanly.

09
A named consultant

One person owns your vacancy from brief to hire. Direct line, sensible response times.

10
We act on your behalf

From advert to offer, we're your front line: fielding questions, replying fast, and representing your business professionally throughout.

Brief & approve

A short call to scope the role. We write the advert; you approve it before it goes live.

02 Day 1–14

Vacancy live on the major job boards. In parallel, consultants actively source passive candidates. CVs screened daily; unsuitable applicants handled by us.

03 Day 14–21
Shortlist

You receive a curated shortlist with our notes, plus Teams video screen summaries.

04 Day 21–28
Interview & offer

We schedule interviews and support the offer. You meet the right people and hire.

Who this is for

Built for businesses that
hire more than once a year.

Fixed Fee Recruitment works best for companies who recruit regularly and want budget certainty. If you're paying percentage fees and wondering why the cost never seems to reflect the work, this is the alternative.

It's particularly well-suited to hiring in engineering, automation, materials handling, SaaS, defence, and specialist manufacturing. Though we work across all sectors.

Why fixed fee

The percentage model hasn't changed in 50 years.
Everything else has.

The 15-to-25% recruitment fee was built for a different era. Before job boards. Before LinkedIn. Before a recruiter could reach ten thousand candidates from a desk in an afternoon. Back then, the percentage roughly matched the effort.

That world is gone. The tools got faster and cheaper. The work got easier. The fee never moved.

We're sometimes told we're undercutting the market. We see it differently. We're charging what the work actually costs to do well in 2026, not what it cost in 1975. A £50,000 hire doesn't take more effort to fill than a £35,000 one, so why would it cost you thousands more?

Fixed fee isn't us racing to the bottom. It's us pricing honestly for the job in front of us. The percentage model had a good run. We just think it's had its day.

Fixed fee vs contingency agency

Three things
change.

Same hire. Different deal. Here's what's actually different.
01
Pricing · The price is the price.

Fixed at brief, paid upfront. No percentage on salary.

vs 15–25% of first-year salary.

02
Ownership · One consultant, brief to offer.

The same person you brief writes the advert, screens applicants, and supports the offer. Direct line, no reassignments.

vs 3–4 handovers per agency hire.

03
Pipeline · The candidates are yours.

Applicants apply to your business under your name. You keep the full pipeline and every application, hire by hire.

vs agency-owned CV databases.

Contingency agency Workvine Fixed Fee

Candidates held back and trickled out one at a time We shortlist as we go, so you see strong candidates fast
Candidates owned by the agency You own the candidates and the process
Your new hire can be re-placed with a rival down the line We never poach back the people we place with you

What clients say

Real briefs.
Real results.

A few words from the businesses we've hired for.
They go beyond just reading CVs, asking detailed, scenario-based questions that highlight candidates' real-world expertise. This level of preparation has saved us so much time… I also really appreciate having the option to access their system for real-time updates.
Nainsi HR Manager, transport equipment manufacturer
We liked that you only sent through the very best candidates… A cost-effective service, whilst providing very real tangible value.
Jago People Experience, SaaS business, London
What really sets this team apart is their determination. Adie worked tirelessly to ensure we got exactly what we needed, like a dog with a bone… The pricing was excellent, especially when compared to traditional recruiters.
John Managing Director, flue systems manufacturer
For ongoing hiring

Hiring for the long term?
Get a careers site to match.

For businesses with ongoing recruitment plans, we can build a branded career site that sits within your own website. A permanent, professional careers presence that we keep populated with your live roles. Every vacancy gets a custom shareable link, so your team can push roles out across LinkedIn, email and social, all pointing back to your brand.

It's the difference between filling one role and building a hiring engine. If you're recruiting continuously rather than occasionally, this is how you do it without the per-hire agency bill.
